Illegal construction at Chaparchiri Khurd is stopped by the High Court
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notices to Mohali Tehsildar and other Punjab government authorities to stop all illegal constructions in the Chaparchiri Khurd area.
In a petition it was claimed that some unscrupulous elements had grabbed around seven acres of government land located within the Abadi of village Chaparchiri Khurd, SAS Nagar district.
The petitioner asked the High Court to direct the respective authority to get the land vacated for proper utilization in public interest.
In a direction related to the petition, the High Court stayed the illegal construction and directed the authorities to take immediate and prompt action in this regard.
The petitioner also sought directions from the court to take action against responsible officials for misuse of government property and usurping of valuable land worth crore which was reserved as green belt and for common purposes.
