Illegal Constructions in Nagpur will be Demolished

Comments(2) Sub Category:Municipality,Other cities,Real estate trends,Realty News Posted On: May 10, 2012

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has decided to demolish any illegal construction in the municipal area.

As an initiative, the municipality has issued a notice to the owners of the illegal structures and have been warning them to remove the encroachments.

A five storey building at Laxmi Bhuvan Square will be removed by the anti-encroachment squad of Nagpur Municipality. According to the sanctioned building plan of 1997, the building was to be constructed only on a 500 sq. meter area, while it is reported that the owner has covered the setback areas as well. The owner of this building had filed a complaint against the authorities, but the court has rejected his plea.

The municipality has also decided to recover all the expenditures incurred on demolishing the unauthorized construction from the respective owners of the properties in Nagpur.
