Meanwhile the state government has witnessed illegal encroachment of these government owned parks and gardens. The court has also observed the untrusted work carried on by the city municipal officials and have decided to warn the municipal officials, if they continue to do the same they are warned off bearing a hefty penalty.
Chandigarh municipal corporation, responding to the same said that in a survey they had traced nearly 84 such similar cases were detected and also warning was issued to the people surviving in those public places but the CMC claimed saying that they were not taken up seriously by the people surviving there. 1. kirti jasuja says:

THIS IS VERY COMMON IN CHANDIGARH. IN SECTOR 28-D CHANDIGARH, A SEMI PUCCA BUILDING HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED BY ENCROACHING UPON THE PARK LAND BETWEEN HOUSE NO 3066 AND 3070, WITH MODERN AMENETIES. EVEN PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE PARK. IF GOVT/AUTHORITIES THEMSELVES HAVE NO REGARD TO THE BYLAWS, HOW THEY HAVE RIGHT TO ACT ON THE POOR PEOPLE WHO SIT ON THE FOOTPATHS. EVEN COMMUNICATION TO CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION FELL FLAT AND THET TURN DEAF AND DUMB
