Important measures need to be taken up for green technology; Says experts
The Modi government should take up tough measures to make sure that green technology is being used in matters of construction and realty space according to experts. This is primarily because of the massive and quick urbanisation the country is about to face.
According to the CBRE South Asia Chairman and Managing Director Anshuman Magazine, there is a huge need for strict and important measures in order to ensure green technology during construction. There should be growth in the property and construction markets because of such slowdown seen in the past. Seeing the present state, it is obvious that a lot needs to be done in a vast, diverse and rapidly urbanising country as ours.
A recent study was conducted by the US Green Building Council for LEED outside the country where it was discovered that India came third after China while Canada was at the top of the list for its green technology.
Quite a number of initiatives have been taken up by the Indian Green Building Council in order to strengthen and build the services of green buildings throughout India. The IGBC happens to be a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
