Indian realtors foray into global market
Tata Housing has announced that it is planning to launch eight to 10 projects in the country this financial year in spite of overall slump in the sector. Under its affordable housing segment, ‘Smart Value Homes’, Tata Housing has forayed into Gujarat by launching Shubh Griha in Ahmedabad.
Along with its domestic operations, it has announced a public-private partnership (PPP) project with the government of Sri Lanka’s Urban Development Authority, which will be its second overseas project after the Maldives’ one.
Apart from the Tata Group, other big Indian players like Hiranandani Group and Sahara Group have also made their presence in the global forum. Hiranandani Group had to put its launches on halt in Dubai but is expected to resume soon. Sahara group announced its foray into Bangladesh, providing affordable accommodation for low-income groups.
