India’s top architect warns increase in high-rise apartment

India’s famous modern architect, Charles Correa voices out his difference of opinion about increasing shiny high-rise apartment blocks mushrooming in all Indian cities.

He say that property buyers in India have incorrect perception as to tower apartment blocks are progressive and modern.

Mr. Charles Correa say that the concept of tallest and combined apartments in India has come all the way from Dubai and Singapore.

Also, maximum of the population from Mumbai and Delhi, take Dubai as big source of inspiration in concern with constructing malls and apartments.

The former chairman of the National Commission on Urbanization and one-time Harvard professor say that medium size residential buildings are ideal structures whereas, overloading these existing cities with tall apartments without limits is sure to break down anytime, he warns!
