Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna industrial development authorities are set to present their annual budget on Wednesday.

The Noida authority allotted a total budget of Rs 9,200 crore for the year 2014-15, according to sources. More than Rs 3,000 crore could be allocated by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Greater Noida is likely to spend Rs 7,100 crore. Several key infrastructural projects are expected to be expedited in 2014 by the authorities.

The Noida authority plans to allot around half (Rs.5000) of the total budget to various development projects in the area. The aim is to develop Noida as a major infrastructural hub comparable to all the major cities in the country. The major projects on the radar are flyovers to resolve traffic bottlenecks problem in Noida, construction of roads, and to build a major link road between Noida and Delhi. Besides these projects, other areas to which budget will be allotted are basic services which include healthcare, power, transport and a riverfront corridor along the Yamuna and Hindon rivers which will help in resolving the land encroachment problem.

The budget in Greater Noida shall be allocated to the developmental projects — improvement of Metro connectivity, Night safari, a green buffer in the flood plain areas of the township and a mega convention facility on the lines of Indian Habitat Center in Delhi and a medical university.
YEIDA too will assign a large portion of the budget to development projects.
