At a Projects and Works Committee (PWC) meeting held in Jaipur on Wednesday, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) reached a decision about developing an 18-hole golf course at the Jaipur-Delhi highway.

Revealing that approximately 400 bigha of land has been reserved by the JDA on the Jaipur-Delhi highway, JDA Secretary Pawan Arora said that the Authority plans to develop an “international standard” golf course on the outskirts of Jaipur city.

Arora elaborated that the proposed golf course to be built by the JDA will include a club house, hotels and swimming pool. Further adding that some portion of the land will also reserved for realty developers and will be auctioned, Arora said that the town planning department will draft a concrete plan for the golf course.

According to the other details shared by JDA officials, the proposed golf course will boast international features as the Jaipur Development Commissioner has also expressed the desire to construct a helipad. In addition, the JDA also intends seeking expertise from international agencies like IMG.

About the land earmarked for the golf course on the Jaipur-Delhi highway, JDA officials said that the land has perfect topography; and added: “The land has gently rolling terrain, with moderate changes in elevation. It also has a natural nullah and hill view.”
