Jalandhar flat owners deprived of moving into flats due to lack of basic amenities

No Comments Sub Category:Other cities,Residential Real Estate Posted On: Sep 11, 2012

Around 900 flat-owners of Indra Puram Colony on the outskirts of Jalandhar are facing a tragical irony as even after paying the last installment before three years, they cannot move into the flats as basic amenities such as electricity, water and sewerage connections are missing.

The flat owners paid the full amount to the Jalandhar improvement trust. Now the flat-owners allege that the improvement trust had committed a big fraud on them as they have not been able to live in their flats although they paid the last installment back in 2009.

The owners are now planning to move the consumer court against the improvement trust for the deficiency in its service and will seek compensation for the delay.
