Kandivali west becoming an increasing preferred destination for homebuyers in Mumbai

One of the increasingly preferred property destinations among prospective homebuyers in Mumbai is Kandivali west. Located strategically at the intersection of Mahatma Gandhi Road and Link Road, the Kandivali west locality has made its way to the ‘Top Ten’ most preferred localities for sale in Mumbai, as per leading property website.

Despite the fact that the Kandivali west area has witnessed a 4 percent increase in property prices in the January-March quarter, the locality is comparatively still quite affordable as against some of the other Mumbai suburb destinations.

Moreover, going by the information shared by broker firm Maadhyamm Real Estate’s owner Sarjit Mann, the Kandivali west locality boasts “good social infrastructure” as well as “easy connectivity” via the Western Express Highway, Link Road and Swami Vivekanand Road.

In addition, the overhauling of the physical infrastructure of the locality – including the revamp of its roads and sewage management – has further enhanced its appeal for potential homebuyers. Slum redevelopment work is also being carried out in the area by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

With 2BHK apartments in Kandivali west priced at between Rs 90 lakhs to Rs 1.5 crores, and 3BHK units priced at between Rs1.5 crores and Rs 3 crores, broker firm Square Feet Property Consultant’s branch head, Shashi Kant, said: “The area is still affordable when compared to Andheri, Ghatkopar west, Malad west and Borivali west.”
