KDA demolishes illegal building

Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) enforcement wing of zone-1 on Wednesday demolished the development work of two builders near Raksha Vihar on G T Road. The builders were named as Santosh Pandey & Manoj Pandey and M/s latika Constructions.

Executive engineer of zone-1 Manoj Kumar Mishra said Pandey brothers had illegally developed plots on around 50 bigha of land and to access the plots they had constructed roads and laid sewer lines.

The builders had neither taken any permission from the KDA nor were their map sanctioned. Similarly Latika Construction had developed illegally Owner City phase II. The builders had developed 186 plots, roads and raised power poles.

Illegal development of plots has become a problem since a few years. The government has started taking important steps necessary to curb this problem. The corporation is taking up the work and demolishing such construction in order take strict actions against such works. The Kanpur Development Authority has also taken similar action in order to curb out the problem. The map sanctioned for the project was not taken into account to do the constructional work.
