Kent RO to set up Rs 100 cr plant at Noida
Kent RO Systems water purifier maker would be investing Rs 100 crore to set up a new manufacturing unit at Noida. The required land for its third manufacturing unit has been allotted to the company and construction would commence soon.
Mahesh Gupta, Kent RO Systems Chairman informed that the construction would commence as soon as the required land is acquired. The production from that unit would start in 2016-17.”
The new plant would have manufacturing capacity to roll out 5, 00,000 water purifiers in a year.At present, Kent RO have the capacity to roll out 5,00,000 water purifiers with its two manufacturing units at Roorkee in Uttarakhand. “We would finish with Rs 600 crore turnovers this fiscal, which would be 30 per cent more than the last fiscal 2012-13. We anticipate this growth rate for the next five years”, he said, Speaking on the turnover for this financial year.
Currently the company sell over 20 models of purifiers. The company also sells premium range of water purifiers under the brand name Electrolux. Kent RO Systems and the Swedish home appliances major have brand licensing agreement. According to Gupta, under Electrolux brand it is currently selling three models of water purifier. Kent RO on the World Water Day started ‘Save Water’ campaign.
Bollywood actress Hema Malini, its brand ambassador, would make people aware about water conservation in the campaign.
