Kerala to have real estate authority
According to Minister for Urban Affairs Manjalamkuzhi Ali the state government is going to introduce a slew of measures to streamline the real estate sector. Some of the steps are setting up a Real Estate Authority, online registration facility for developers and amendments to the Coastal Regulation Zone Act.
The minister was at Recon 2014, a real estate convention. He informs that the government is giving final touches to the Real Estate Authority Bill and a draft of the proposed Bill would be available in the public domain within a month. The bill is on the lines of the Real Estate Authority Bill introduced by the Centre.
Online registration facility for builders and property developers is going to curb unprofessionalism and graft in the sector. The new system will make the process more transparent, the minister added.
