Khetan says Maken, favors to the private builder
Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashish Khetan accused former Union Development Minister and sitting MP Ajay Maken against whom he is standing in the upcoming elections, of granting undue favor to Raheja Developers through the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Mr. Khetan claimed the DDA had sold the land to the private builders for the rehabilitation of Kathputli Colony residents at just Rs 6.11 crore which is much below then the estimated price of Rs 1,000 as per the internal assessment of DDA.
He further added that the reason of allegations is the irregularities during Maken’s period as the Urban Development Minister.
Mr. Khetan says that this issue reveals the nexus between the land mafia and the DDA and the land was given to Raheja Developers on the condition of rehabilitated the residents of Kathputli Colony. But till now no development of houses is start even after the 18 months of the contract awarded. The land was given during tenure that’s why Mr.Khetan questioned that is there any connection between Maken and Raheja Developers.
The DDA official refuses the allegation. He further says that this project was awarded after taking everybody in favor including the finance department the allotment of land is done through the proper process that why the allegations are baseless.
