Kochi: DLF says allegations of infirmities in clearances “baseless and unfounded”
In response to the last-month allegations levelled by Opposition LDF in Kerala Assembly that there were infirmities in the environment and CRZ clearances granted by the Congress-led UDF regime to DLF’s multi-storeyed flats project in Kochi, the realty bigwig has said that the allegations are “baseless and unfounded.”
DLF has hit back at the allegations of infirmities in clearances in response to Opposition LDF’s claims that the UDF government has shown ‘undue favour’ in regularisation of a residential-apartments complex constructed by the real estate developer in Kochi. The allegations largely pivoted around an alleged violation of CRZ norms by DLF for the in-question DLF complex in Kochi.
To investigate the alleged violation by DLF, the Kerala government set up a 3-member committee on Thursday.
Meanwhile, asserting DLF’s stand in the matter, Sanjey Roy – the realty major’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications – said that the allegations of violations are “baseless and unfounded.” Roy said that DLF is a 65-year-old developer group, which carries out all its business and operations in full compliance with the established procedures and regulations.
Stating that all the approvals for the in-question project in Kochi – including Building Plan, approval from Pollution Control Board, Environment & CRZ, and Fire License – have been obtained “after following the due process of law and applicable regulations,” Roy said: “Construction has been carried out in accordance with our sanctioned building plan.”
