Kochi Infopark signs lease agreement with Brigade Group for world-class hotel project on campus
A star-rated international business class hotel will be set up in the sprawling premises of Kochi Infopark; thanks to a lease agreement signed by Infopark and Brigade Group. Under the lease agreement, Infopark has leased 97 cents of its land to Brigade Group for a period of 90 years.
The deal between Kochi Infopark and Brigade Group was signed by Infopark’s Chief executive Officer Hrishikesh Nair and Brigade Group’s Executive Director (Hospitality Division) Vineet Varma.The lease agreement between Kochi Infopark and Brigade Group pertains to the setting up of a top-notch business class hotel on the park campus.
The hotel will have a star-rating and will boast all contemporary recreational facilities and services to cater to the leisure needs of domestic as well as international business travellers and top-level executives of the more than 130 IT companies operating in the park.
With regard to the lease agreement signed with Kochi Infopark, Varma said that Brigade Group has plans underway to “zero in on an international hotel brand for the project, which is to be developed by meeting the timeline specified in the lease agreement.” Varma further added: “We see this opportunity as a long-term investment to grow our businesses here over the next few decades.”
