Right now its turn of Electronic city wherein the Gollahalli lake has been illegally acquired upon by newly constructed road.
The road on this lake bed was constructed during year 2007 according to Right to Information Act (RTI).
Since the time of road construction, the lake has been reduced to 7.09 acres from its original 9.2 acres.
The residents belonging to the surrounding environment seem to have lodged a complaint in concern with clearing lake bed issues.
No action has been taken till date and the developers like; VMAKS Builders are worried of people purchasing their flats at VMAKS Chalet with this kind of issues in Electronic city.

Funny! Seriously can’t understand why govt. is not letting at least lakes survive. Forest, govt. land, green belt land, today its lake being encroached and tomorrow no wonder if it happens to our own plots. Thanks for the article!
