Land provided for industrial purpose used for housing colony
In the Dattowala area of the Nalagarh industrial area, there has been an issue of a case of violation of Section 118 under the HP Tenacy and Land Reforms Act of 1972. The stretch of around 10 bigha land which was purchased for the use of industrial park is now being used for the construction of a housing colony violating the rules and regulations of TCP. The rules have been violated and various norms of the Revenue and Town and Country Planning or TCP department have been done away with.
The complain that has been lodged to the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau stated that the TCP Department had provided a permit to the steel unit near the Dattowal to make a housing colony in the Nalagarh area. However the rules and the plan sanctioned have been violated by the steel unit. The permit was to build a housing colony on the 62 bigha land in the year 1998. A number of 160 plots have been made over this land and a huge housing colony has been constructed.
The TCP department has appealed the court to seek forth the rules that have been violated during the construction and take necessary measures against the matter.
