Land Sold to Third Party without Land Owners Doctrine in Chennai

In Chennai a land at Arumbakkam was sold to a third party without the knowledge of the land owner and also bank loan was sanctioned to this illegal property dealing. The Madras high court directed the city police officials to take up the case seriously and take immediate action on the property dealers. This illegal property dealing came in notice with the actual land owners only when they received auction notice from a bank for non payment of Rs 1.7 crore loan amount taken on their property. Henceforth one of the owners filed a case at the Madras high court after the Arumbakkam police refused to register a land-grab case against the culprits.

The high court has also ordered the Central Crime Branch (CCB) to register a case in concern to this issue and submit traces to the court at the earliest. The land documents available till date reveals that the property cheaters has used unknown individuals concern to transfer the property. Suresh one of the owner of Arumbakkam land reported saying that the cheaters mortgaged their property with bank in the year 2001 also he claimed that the Arumbakkam police never encouraged him to register a case and launched hardly any investigations. He required nearly two weeks to obtain legal opinion about the matter meanwhile Suresh approached the high court on September 21, 2011. The land owner is on a hope to get his case solved at least after decade now.
