LDA changes route against master plan due to which 50 families to get affected
Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) decided to develop a 45 kms long road through Gokul Vihar Welfare Society in Ahimamau village which will affect more than 50 families. Residents allege that LDA has changed the initial route against master plan 2021, in order to pass on benefits to several builders.
Mr. Pawan Tiwari, a resident, says that the road had been planned to pass through the builder’s land but now LDA has redesigned the route to pass through their colony. The initial plan would have acquired 12-15 bigha land of builder. He further says that the residents were surprised to see the notification regarding the LDA’s intention to occupy their land. This move of the agency is going to affect 150 people who have borrowed money to develop houses on that land.
Residents tried to meet the VC of LDA many times regarding this issue but to no avail.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, another resident, says that they want to know how LDA can alter the master plan 2021 without informing people who are already settled there and why is this special treatment given to the builders while the poor people suffer due to the change in master plan 2021.
The VC of LDA was shocked after hearing this news and said he will ensure that the development is done according to master plan. The land acquisition notification was sent by DM’s office and he will look into the matter. The residents have registered a complaint asking to change the plan.
The residents also wrote the letter to the Chief Minister and ask for the justice. Mr. Tiwari says that CM’s PA had written to DM to take proper action but nothing has been done so far.
People says that the new plan is not suitable for road safety as more than two junctions would be constructed within 100 metre range whereas in the original plan the road would have easily formed a roundabout with the road coming from Ansal API’s Sunshant Golf City.
