Leading gainers in ‘A’ group is the Prestige Estates Projects
In addition to the Prestige Estates Projects, Reliance Infrastructure, Jaiprakash Associates Housing Development and Infrastructure and Container Corporation of India are among the other gainers. Prestige Estates Projects jumped 12.23% to Rs 163.35. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE’s ‘A’ group.
Reliance Infrastucture controlled by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani gained 10.01 percent to Rs 398.90was second on the list of top gainers.
Infrastructure Company Jai Prakash Associates was third in the list of top gainers with gain of 8.88 percent to Rs 43.55. At fourth position in the list of topers Real estate developer comes Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) with a gain of 7.22 percent to Rs 45.30.
Fifth biggest gainer in ‘A’ group list is State-run Container Corporation of India with a profit of rose 6.48% to Rs 852.30 on reports FTSE increased investability weightage of the stock in its Global Equity Index.
As per the report, FTSE increased Container Corporation of India’s investability weightage to 30 percent from 24 percent. These changes will be applicable after the close of business on Friday, 21 March 2014.
The report further added that increase in investability weightage of a stock in global bench mark indices such as FTSE, promotes buying from passive trackers of the FTSE.
