This Wednesday, there were around 4 key road infrastructure projects which got the final sanction from the United Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Planning and the Engineering Centre. The entire work will be finished within about 2 years and will commence from this monsoons. There was a meeting arranged and chaired by the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung where the Ram Tula Flyover adjusting with the Vikaspuri-Mukarba Chow link, the Kidwai Nagar loop and the link which goes from East Kidwai Nagar to Thyagaraja Stadium was finally given approval.
The Ram Tula Ram Marg flyover shall be completed soon now that it has received its final sanction. In fact, half of the flyover had been erected in the year 2010 and quite a number of snarls were created by the traffic snarls. One of the sources from the Public Works Department also mentioned that all discussions shall be completed before the next meeting between the government bodies have been organized.
Trees shall also be stopped from felling at the Vikas Puristretch. This would be done by reducing the width of the road. In addition to that, there shall be green belts and footpaths so that lesser trees are felled
