L&T Construction bags Rs 5,220 crore orders
In the first two months of this year across various business segments, L&T Construction has received an order worth Rs 5,220 crore.
S N Subrahmanyan, Senior Executive Vice President (Infrastructure and Construction), L&T said in his speech, “It has been a productive beginning to the New Year and these orders reaffirm our leadership position in our various business verticals.”
From Gujarat, Karnataka and West Bengal, the water and renewable energy business segment has got the highest order of Rs 2,019 crore. The buildings and factories division has got orders worth Rs 1,461 crore from West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
The Rs 1,001 crore order is both from India and abroad. National Highways Authority of India, Department of Atomic Energy, gave a new order worth Rs 739 crore to Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business.
Subrahmanyan added “Although there is still sluggishness in our economy, these orders reflect that there is some positive movement in the infrastructure sector which augurs well for both the country and L&T going forward.”
