Madivala and Mathikere in Bangalore sees demand for 1BHK units
Demand for one BHK units in Bangalore is growing in specific areas. Although traditionally demand for this section has been lower in Bangalore than in other metros, demand for 1BHK has been on the rise in areas such as Madivala and Mathikere.
However, these BHKs are larger as compared to other metros and the size is around 600 to 700 sq ft. Analysts point out that these places are strategically located which drives the demand for this segment.
Madivala is close to educational institutions and falls between Koramangla and Electronic City. Mathikere is the educational hub with the Ramaiah Institute, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and Indian Institute of Science in the vicinity. Also, there are quite a few manufacturing units located around it.
1BHK owning population in these pockets primarily includes the IT professionals who prefers 1BHK apartments over studio apartments due to price advantage and customisation facilities.
