Master Plan will be Formed by the Civic Body in Kerala
The Kerala municipality has planned to frame out the city master plan for the Kozhikode Corporation.
The comprehensive master plan for the development of the city will be framed out by the end of June.
Experts from the National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC), Center for Water Resources Development and Management ( CWRDM) and town planning officials will contribute in the formation of the master plan.
The authority has already formed a panel comprising 170 experts from various agencies to chalk out steps to prepare the master plan.
The present status of the master plan will be reviewed in the meeting in June. The civic body will ensure the efforts for the timely completion of the master plan.
The developers are finding it difficult to construct properties in Kochi with the present master plan of the city, prepared in 1980.
The new master plan will cover all the corporation areas and the nearby gram panchayats of Olavanna, Feroke, Ramanattukkara and Kadalundi.
