MCD on a demolition drive in South Delhi
Earlier this week many areas in South Delhi witnessed a demolition drive by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The civic body razed down some of the illegal properties in areas like Khirki Extension, Malviya Nagar, Chhatarpur Village and Hauz Khas Apartments.
About thirteen properties were being razed down partially with four properties in the said areas saw a demolition of two floors each built illegally.
A total of twenty five properties were demolished in the city with twelve properties were sealed in south Delhi, Najafgarh, Rohini, Central and Civil Lines zones by the Building Department of the MCD.
In most part of the city, builders build illegal properties and sell them to buyers who face the final burden.
