Memorandum of Understanding signed in Ghaziabad
In Ghaziabad, on Tuesday, a memorandum was signed between the Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. This memorandum of understanding was based on the extension of the Metro Line that started from Delhi’s Dilshad Garden and went all the way to the city’s bus stand. It was about 9.41 kilometres long. There are a total of 7 stations and all of them should be completed this year by the 17th of June.
Santosh Yadav who happens to be the vice chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority had signed this memorandum of understanding with SD Sharma who is currently the director of business development.
Many of the Metro officials have also said that work will be carried out soon in order to ensure there is enough power supplies and soil profiling. The real work shall be seen within the upcoming three months. Planning to finish the extension of Metro started in the year 2002. Yadav has mentioned that there are co-operation has been noticed on behalf of the authorities. This includes Union Urban development ministry as well as the NCR Planning board.
There have been preparations made by the DMRC to come up with a feasibility report on expanding the Metro Phase from Vaishali all the way up to Noida.
