During the inauguration of the connecting bridge between Sampige Metro station and Mantri Square Mall on Wednesday, BMRCL Managing Director Pradeep Singh Kharola said that this station is one of the most successful examples of Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and it would be replicated in other stations as well in the Namma Metro Phase II.

With this connecting bridge, it will be a complete win-win situation for both Metro and Mantri Mall as the footfall will increase in both the mall and the Metro, he said that the station has been developed by the Mantri Developers but the design and other technical aspects were provided by the BMRCL, he added.Mayor B S Satyanarayana, who inaugurated the facility, requested Mantri Developers to adopt some lakes in the City just as some developers have adopted a few playgrounds.

The mayor also asked the BMRCL MD to give similar access to the K R Market Metro Station that is being developed. The Mayor said that the K R Market is being remodelled and once it is done, similar access should be given between the market and the Metro Station. The connectivity to the Sampige Road Metro Station has been jointly developed by the BMRCL and the Mantri Developers.
