Metro Work in Faridabad delayed
The Rs 2,494-crore project to extend the Delhi Metro from Badarpur to YMCA Chowk in Faridabad has been delayed and services are now expected to begin in May 2015. A delegation of the Confederation of Resident Welfare Associations recently met Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) managing director Mangu Singh to seek adequate feeder and link bus services for each station and reservation of coaches for senior citizens.
NP Singh, a member of the delegation, said they were told the DMRC was trying its best to start operations from next May. The earlier deadline of starting the Metro service to Faridabad was March 2015, with the provision of holding trial runs from December this year he said.
The delay of the metro rail project has caused problem as the metro rail project was being built to clear the traffic problems that are faced in this place. Probably it would take some time before the metro work redeems post which the project work will see a flight. The delay in the project has been mainly caused because of some problem in the plan and phase work. Post sorting out of the problem the work would resume.
