Midnight watch started by NMC
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is geared up to check the tendency among citizens to dump garbage at places other than the designated spots and to end this night patrolling has been started to make sure the city remains clean and garbage free.
As the new initiative begins, NMC officials have imposed fine on hawkers and others who has been seen dumping garbage on roadsides during night. Usually the hawkers are seen to dump garbage and wastes on the spots where they install their stalls.
The Corporation appointed special squads for night patrolling and started the drive in assistance with police department. The team would be out tracking garbage dumping across the city between 9 pm and 12 at midnight.
