Mumbai Illegal Construction Issues

No Comments Sub Category:Legal,Realty News Posted On: Sep 24, 2011

The Urban Development (UD) department is now ahead doing through investigation over the work done by civic officials in Mumbai city. The issue was raised over when the civic department officials granted the construction contract of nearly 386 car park lots for only 33 odd flats in the Juhu highrise buildings in Mumbai. The Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan ordered the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough investigation over this issue. The government should take immediate action towards the civic bodies as they are supporting the high rise of the buildings and also allotting parking lots beyond the orders passed by the state government.

MLA Krishna Hegde reported to the chief minister saying that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had ordered a demolition drive of the illegal floor constructed in the buildings and also certain amount of fine also was charged on behalf of even punishing the builder. Meanwhile he added on saying that the civic bodies have not been charged a case for allowing the builders in illegal constructions.
Hopefully now the illegal construction is to be stopped as this notice is now in concern with the state chief minister.
