No Comments Sub Category:Mumbai,Realty News Posted On: Aug 04, 2014

The Thane district region is apparently becoming one of the most preferred regions for people looking to purchase a home in the vicinity of Mumbai.

Going by the various property portal study, there currently are 30 new residential projects in different stages of construction in the region. Nearly 93 percent of the Thane-region residential units in various construction phases are multi-storeyed apartments; with the remaining 7 percent comprising builder floor units and residential houses.

The residential properties on offer in the Thane region begin at a price of approximately Rs 10 lakhs onwards. Speaking in more specific terms, a yet-to-be-completed one-bedroom unit in the Thane region is priced at nearly Rs 9 lakhs; while a ready-to-move-in 1-BHK apartment sized 500 sq ft is available for Rs 15 lakhs. The starting cost of a 2-BHK apartment of 800-1000 sq ft is nearly Rs 25 lakhs.

The majority of the new residential complexes in the Thane region are coming up in the Ghodbunder Road, Badlapur and Thane west localities.

With regard to the increasing preference for Thane region by potential homebuyers, local property consultant Aditya Panjwani said: “Homebuyers who cannot afford properties in Mumbai, prefer this belt because of comparatively affordable property values and ample open spaces.”
