In a request made to the Mysore committee members, real estate players from the city have sought the dismissal of the land-grabbing case around Chamundi hill as well as an end to the controversy surrounding Kurbarahalli survey no 4.

The demand for an end to the ‘Kurbarahalli survey no 4’ controversy, as well as the disposing off of the land-grabbing case, has come from more than 50 realtors who recently took part in the hearing of the case.

According to the realtors, the controversy linked to Kurbarahalli survey no 4 has had an adverse impact on their businesses, with the result that they have not been able to meet the demands of the people who purchases sites and apartments on the controversy-hit land.

In the opinion of the realtors who attended the investigation and voiced their viewpoint, the dismissal of the land-grabbing case and an end to the ‘Kurbarahalli survey no 4’ controversy will provide relief to people who have purchased, occupied and constructed their houses on the expansive 2500-acre land.

One of the realtors, B Nagakumar, said that the more than 20 projects which builders have commenced on the land underscore an investment of over Rs 100 crore.

Asserting that the controversy surrounding the land has forced the builders to halt the construction process, and has thus affected their finances, Nagakumar – reflecting the standpoint of all affected realtors – said: “I urge the officials to complete the investigation soon and submit a report to government.”
