Navi Mumbai Airport will take time to fly
The construction of The new proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport is expecting to start by September 2013.
The delay is happened due to the delay in getting the clearance from different departments.
The security clearance from the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), as well as a clearance from the Maharashtra Forest department is still pending.
Apart from the clearance, the authority still not invited the global tender for the construction of the airport.
As the proposed site of the airport contains marsh and hilly terrain, leveling the ground is necessary before starting the construction work.
