NBCC exploring possibilities of potential overseas projects
In an apparent expansion move, bigwig realty firm National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) seemingly has plans underway to extend its business overseas. The countries in which the company is exploring the possibility of potential projects chiefly include Oman, Botswana and neighbouring regions.
With regard to NBCC’s overseas expansion, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director Anoop Kumar Mittal said that the company is executing plans to open its office branches in Oman and Botswana.
In addition, Mittal also said that NBCC has worked out a tie-up with an Oman-based company for developing an infrastructure project. The project, as per Mittal, will hopefully enable NBCC to book some revenue in the last quarter of this fiscal.
Moreover, according to NBCC’s expansion-related details shared by the company’s Director (Finance) SK Pal, opportunities for prospective projects are also being explored by the company in some other countries too, including Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, along with eyeing overseas projects, NBCC is also keen on focusing on redevelopment of Government properties. Towards that end, Mittal said that “the Government has allotted us three projects in the National capital — Netaji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Thyagraj Nagar — for redevelopment;” and added that NBCC has also been assigned projects by the Odisha and Rajasthan State Governments.
