New MMRDA building to be ready in half year
The MMRDA official was hoping to complete new building by September 2014, as per the earlier deadline.
Mr. UPS Madan, MMRDA’s metropolitan commissioner, says that there has been some obstruction as the interior work is going on. They hope to finish the work in 6 months.
The cost of this project is also increased because of obstruction in completing the work. A senior official says that the original value of project was Rs 48 crore but now Rs 110 crore is required to finish the work.
The construction on the 9 storey building is started in March 2008. The out side appearance of building will have glass facade.
