NH-22 will soon see an Overbridge
The Punjab Government is now ready to establish an over bridge on the Ambala-Kalka National Highway 22. There is going to be a flyover of about 1,150 metres that will help in the reduction of the rates of accidents which occur here frequently. Beginning from the railway over bridge on the highway in the village of Bhankharpur, the flyover will come to an end near Sri Sukhmani Engineering College.
The project is quite expensive and costs quite a lot of money. It has been taken up by the National Highway Authority of India. The design has already been prepared by the NHAI and the work of construction of the bridge will begin at the end of the month itself.
The heavy traffic jams which occur in the routes of Ambala, Delhi, Chandigarh and Panchkula will now have to take other routes in order to reach their destinations.
However, important and special efforts will be taken in order to facilitate the general public from traffic jams on the link roads.
