As per the senior NHAI officials, the deadline for the bidding has been set in April and permission will be sought from the Election Commission of India before the allotment process to make sure that there is no breach of the election code of conduct.
Chief General Manager, technical, NHAI, B S Singla, who is overseeing this project says, “We will seek permission of the Election Commission of India if required. If there is election code of conduct, we will definitely abide by it.”
He also said the NHAI is looking forward to a speedy completion of that flyover project. He added, “It’s in the public interest. The NHAI and the ministry are both very keen to see a flyover at this intersection. It’s for the relief of the commuters that a flyover is needed at this stretch.”
