NHB opts for early shutdown of tax-free bonds issue
The National Housing Bank (NHB) has decided for the premature closure of its second tranche of public issue of tax-free bonds, this issue opened on March 7 and was planned to close on March 18. NHB got bids for Rs 1,252 crore in all four categories on the first day.
The second installment of the public issue of tax-free bonds consists of a base issue size of Rs 250 crore with a choice to keep over subscription up to the shelf limit of Rs 1,000 crore. This is another chance in a row that the NHB tax-free bonds issue has been subscribed in large quantity on the first day.
