NHB reports on housing trend in 11 cities
New Delhi- A report by National Housing Bank ( NHB) showed the real estate housing trend in 11 cities which included Bangalore and Kolkata.
These cities witnessed a decline of about 5 percent from July-September meanwhile the other 9 cities saw an increase of about 10 percent.
The highest price rise of 10.1 percent was witnessed by Kochi followed by Jaipur- 9 percent. There was a price increase by about 3.8 percent, 0.5 percent and 1 percent in cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Chennai.
However each quarter, NHB RESIDEX tracks the movement in prices of residential properties by covering over 20 cities. NHB is further planning to include 6 more cities in the coming years.
NHB Chairman and Managing Director R V Verma stated that there has been an overall price correction with increased prices in nine cities having net decline. He also spoke about the slow real estate market and the housing demand.
