NICE violates framework agreement
The Legislative House Committee of Karnataka will probe the alleged framework agreement violations by the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) which is being executed in the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) in the State.
The Karnataka Minister for Public Works, HC Mahadevappa has announced it in the State Assembly while replying to the demands made by his Ministry. The opposition parties, JDS and BJP while participating in the budget demands of Public Works Department had wanted the Speaker and the Government to look into the alleged violations by Nandi Infrastructure Committee of Karnataka. To answer the opposition parties against their demands on the alleged violations the Ministry had decided to take the action. Investigations will be continued in the case and then the case will be forwarded. Until then the work will be halted as far known.
The legislators while cutting across the party affiliations had demanded the action against the NICE for failing to execute the project in the needed time. NICE had violated the framework that had been agreed by the Legislative House Committee in Karnataka. This has been the reason why the actions have been taken by the house against Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise.
