No irregularities in housing projects: Claimed by KMDA
The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) has denied about any irregularities in providing completion certificates to the residential units in Kolkata developed at the Kolkata West International City (KWIC) project.
KWIC has constructed an Rs 6,000-crore satellite township on 390 acres of prime land at Salap on NH-6.
According to the development proposal 800 row houses were supposed to come up under the first phase of the project, but KMDA has issued a completion certificate for 369 only. The question of irregularities came up when several buyers had complained of irregularities in granting 200 of these completion certificates.
A senior official of state UrbanDdevelopment Department have said that a report is been filed by the organization, regarding no irregularities in granting completion certificates to KWIC.
KMDA has said that all rules and specifications have been followed as per the recommendations of the Land Use and Development Control Plans. As, there is no specific date of completion of the project, KMDA has denied taking responsibility for alleged delay in completing the project.
