No property tax for one year
Chandigarh- At least for one year the citizens need not have to worry about paying property tax.
The Congress made sure that the property tax item was taken out of the checklist for house meeting.
Sources explained that MP Pawan Kumar Bansal advised councillors towards raking the concern in 2013.
In the meeting it was made clear that it wouldn’t defend the actual MC if the centre made a decision to hold funds to its deterioration to implement the property tax.
After winning MC elections in December 2011 the common view was that little tax can be levied. Although now that the actual tax is not put in the place so far, there would be unwillingness to do so, according to senior functionaries in the Congress.
