Noida Authority Hands out Illegal Construction Notices to Builders

No Comments Sub Category:Delhi-NCR,Realty News Posted On: Dec 08, 2014

Due to the several illegal constructions going on at present on a notified land in Noida, the Noida Authority has issued a notice to the builders who have been alleged to be involved in the activities without taking permission.

According to the release made by the Authority, notices have been pasted at the concerned sites to notify the builders of their illegal construction and have them removed failing which they would be demolished and the builders penalised.

As per recent reports, the Authority has also issued a public notice to home buyers warning them buy flats or plots from builders whose projects seem uncertain because many of these builders are constructing buildings without having been allotted the lands. “We are likely to issue notice against one more builder, who is selling an unauthorised project. Buyers should not invest in a project which is not approved by the Noida Authority,” said official.

Area of Illegal Construction:

The builders who have been issued notices by the Noida Authority were accused of carrying out illegal construction activities in Sarafbad and Sector 72 and 73. The notices which were handed out to the builders were given as per the instructions of Noida Chairman Rama Raman.

A deadline of a week has been given to the defaulters to remove all illegal constructions failing which the constructions shall be demolished. Additionally, the builders will also be charged an amount for the demolition to be carried out by the Authority.

Developers’ Excuse:

The Developers who have been handed out the notice for illegal constructions claim that the building plans on which work is going on were already approved by the district Panchayat since the area concerned come under the Abadi land of Sarafabad Village.

However the Authority stated that the land under concern has the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Act, 1976 in effect which takes away the rights of the District Panchayat to hand out approvals for any construction or buildings. In doing so, the builders are cheating prospective home buyers and thus, such group housings are illegal. It also advised home buyers not to invest in such projects because buyers will face issues in getting possession of houses.
