Noida Metro project expected to start from May

After a long pause, the work on all the four Metro projects in Gautam Budh Nagar district is expected to resume in May this year. The work was stopped for several months due to various reasons.

As per some reports, Noida authority officials have taken this matter seriously and is working hard to complete all the paper words that is related to the proposed Metro links. This metro will be a link  between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden which is 3.9-km route  along with 6.7-km City Centre-Sector 62 link, 30-km City Centre-Bodaki (Greater Noida) line and 7-km Sector 71-Greater Noida West link.

According to officials, Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate infrastructure projects worth R10,000 crore in the first week of May. This project includes the proposed Metro links and three bridges over the Yamuna.

Before the inauguration takes place, Noida authority needs to complete all the formalities of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) which will be signed with DMCR for the Kalindi Kunj-Botanical Garden link. The file is already sent to the urban development ministry for approval.

For the City Center-Sector 62 route, the detailed project report (DPR) has been sent for approval from the Noida authority and soon the MoU will be signed. The DPR is likely to be approved by the authority for two proposed routes i.e., City Center-Greater Noida’s Bodaki and Sector 71 Greater Noida West.

According to the officials, CM will inaugurate the three proposed bridges across the Yamuna, one near Okhla Barrage and one each in sectors 150 and 168 to connect the city with Faridabad.
