No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: May 21, 2014

Meenakshi Shelters India Pvt Ltd, run and owned by a 33 year old woman was clamped down upon by legal authorities. The crime of the woman realtor was that she sold property which she claimed was free of liens and ownership when it was not, to others using forged documents. When people got to know of the fraud they asked the realtor to repay them but all she did was to threaten the public with dangerous consequences. One of the victims eventually took courage and filed an FIR against the reality, and the police expect more such complains to come by.

The name of the arrested owner of the realty firm is V Amudha Meenakshi from Meenakshi Garden at Vellakinar. The whole case came into light when last year a client planned to construct a home on the land they bought from Meenakshi Shelters India Pvt ltd. However, they were waylaid by the original land owners and work was stopped at the initial stages. The client then found out that he was cheated by the woman realtor and the documents for the same were forged.

It is said that around 30 such victims have bought land from the lady, and an amount of 3 crores so far has been given out by them.  The lady and her father have been booked under sections 465 (punishment for forgery), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the IPC.
