Online Lottery System of MHADA Fails to Work

Comments(3) Sub Category:Mumbai,Realty News Posted On: May 08, 2012

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has started its online lottery system, which failed to work on the very first day. The website itself was not working leading the applicants to panic.

MHADA planned to conduct a lottery system to distribute 2593 flats, among which 172 flats belong to high-income category whereas the remaining 2421 flats belong to low-income category.

It was announced that the applicants can submit forms online from May 3rd  to till May 23rd. But unfortunately, on the very first day while the applicants tried to fill forms, the website didn’t work paving way to disappointment and anxiety of the applicants.

When the people questioned the concerned MHADA officials, they said that it was due to some technical issue about which the concerned agencies are trying to rectify. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is auditing the system.

To avoid any sort of fraudulent practices, applicants are strictly asked by MHADA to provide their pan card and bank account details.
