Owners of plots and floors of different ABW projects in Manesar face hardships
Due to an ongoing legal scuffle between farmers and realty developer ABW Group, more than 1,500 plot and floor owners in different projects of ABW Group in Manesar are facing needless hardships and misery.
The legal clash between farmers and the ABW Group has brought construction work at the ABW projects to a standstill. The prospective home-owners at ABW properties have invested their money in buying the plots and floors, but they cannot move in because the projects are lying incomplete.
According to the information shared by Prem Prakash, joint secretary of the ABW Owners’ Association, the land on which the ABW projects have been initiated was purchased by the developer directly from the farmers under a clear sale and purchase agreement. However, after the launch of the projects, a few farmers – after the lapse of many years – filed a lawsuit against the developer.
Prakash revealed that before the land was purchased by ABW Group, a notification had been given by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSDIIC) to acquire the land for public purpose. But after the developer purchased the land, the notification was allowed to lapse.
Prakash further said that the argument put forth by the farmers is that the HSIIDC has conspired with ABW Group and had “forced them to part with their land.” As a result of the ongoing legal fight between the farmers and ABW Group, the future of ABW projects hangs in balance.
