Parking controversies in Mumbai
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is fed up with the controversies flooding, in concern with the parking issues in Mumbai city.
The earlier parking floor space index (FSI) policy framed by former chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has now become controversial as the policy is builder-driven instead of favoring the public.
BMC believes that the developers have received a massive bonanza with the implementation of floor space index (FSI) policy. Henceforth, BMC has withdrew permissions for public parking slots from 15 developers.
BMC has asked the developers to submit back their proposals and act according to the amended policy framed by municipal commissioner Subodh Kumar earlier this year.
