PE investment in real estate reduced in last quarter
The private equity firms invested $279.53 million into Indian real estate projects in the first three months of 2012.
The investment amounts are recorded low compared to the investments made in the same time period of 2011.
The recent transactions transferred the investment area from construction state to the entry state of land acquisition.
The average deal size also reduced to $75-100 crore compared with $150 crore last year.
Most of the PE investments were made for the acquisition of land as lower risk quotient involved in those investments.
